Mindfulness for Teaching and Learning
In this course participants are introduced to the concept of mindfulness as well as provided with research based strategies and resources to help improve their teaching and learning routines. By the end of this course participants will be able to create, implement, and revise mindfulness activities into their classroom in order to promote an inclusive, enjoyable, and safe learning environment that provides the foundation for increased learning outcomes for all students.
This course utilizes google classroom, google meets, jamboard, and other virtual platforms that will strengthen participants ability to confidently use virtual learning tools. Participants will complete 1-2 hours of work prior to and following each virtual synchronous session in order to fully integrate the concepts being learned into their classroom and teaching practice.
